'Photo of the Year 2011' is the theme chosen by City Daily Photo bloggers on this first day of 2012. I selected this one, 'Catholic leaving church', because I'm particularly happy with its composition and timing - the person's arm and shadow on the right really do it for me. Very clever photo. The person adds life to what would otherwise seem lonely, but the shadows seem more mood-evoking and dramatic than a photo of the fence and lamp would have been directly.

Belle atmosphère, les jeux d'ombres et le passant qui passe. Comme Bergson je ne peux choisir parmi toutes tes photos, oui somptueuses c'est bien le mot !

ReplyDeleteJe trouve que c'est des fois difficile de comparer les photos parceque chaque photo ici c'est unique et teeeeeeeeeeeeeeelement belle.
Moi j'aime beaucoup cette photo pour commencer l'année 2012 parceque je la trouve très complexe et profonde alors c'est une belle célébration de l'art.
ca représente une zone gelée pour moi, pas juste l'église vivante a cause des couleurs sombre ca représente pour moiaussi un sépulcre les deux et la lumière qui éclairit c'est éteint mais pas vraiment...
en tout cas c'est une belle célébration de l'art.l'art c'est un vainqueur de la réalité parceque on est donné le controle.

This is serious and dramatic enough to deserve the picture frame. Add some fog and it could be a clip from a Hitchcock film. It's a photo of the year to be proud of.
