Visited the high hills east of Mount Ventoux a couple of weeks ago and was delighted to find the lavender fields in bloom. I didn't have time for a real photo shoot but these candid shots will give you an idea of these landscapes' unpretentious and rugged beauty.
Very charming photos in their naturalness

ReplyDeleteReminds me of the lavender fields of Sequim-Dungeness Valley on the Olympic Peninsula here in the U.S.
ReplyDeleteSO very gorgeous! I can almost smell it...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I have never been in France when the lavender was in bloom.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful. I was on Pinterest just a short time ago and there are some iconic views of the lovely lavender fields. But your shots show the reality of the whole scene, and I love this rugged beauty. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteTres sympa.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and the smell around there must be amazing. Have a good week, Diane

ReplyDeleteOne of the great beauties of Provence. When I was in Maine last week it was all blueberries and lobster.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me so much of when I lived in Provence...Ah, wonderful memories. Thanks
ReplyDeleteThe dream of Provence. There is a famous garden in the Luberon where the designer has created a river of lavender. It meanders down his hillside like a snake.
ReplyDeleteJilly - If you remember where that is, I think I'd love to go and see it one day!
