Old postcard

Old postcard ? No, I took this photo last week. The sky was a soft blue and the almond tree in front of the church a mass of pinkish white blossoms - too bad you can't see it but I chose to go for sepia. The chapel is Notre Dame d'Aubune in Beaumes-de-Venise, almost in my backyard.

Vieille carte postale ? Non. J'ai pris cette photo la semaine dernière. Le ciel était d'un bleu doux et l'amandier devant le clocher une masse de fleurs blanc-rose. Pas de chance, j'ai choisi le sépia.
Bons baisers d'Aubune !

    Le sépia rend ce tableau très soft et poétique, et surtout en couleur on ne pourrait pas si bien apprécier ni la harmonieuse et intéressante complexité des formes présentes, ni l'ample gradation couvrant une palette qui embrasse du très foncé jusqu'au très clair.
    Mais malgré tout cela... il me reste l'envie de voir aussi comment ça résonnait en couleurs!

    This is a color black and white...
    The is no more real but black and white in colours...
