The apricot season is on and what a delight it is. And the big news I just got my first big photographic assignment: I was contacted a few weeks ago by a young couple from Hong Kong who discovered my photos through my blog, loved what they saw and asked me if I would do photo portraits of them during their holiday in Provence. Wanting to get out of the very formatted wedding photos imposed by photographers in Hong Kong, they were keen on provencal landscapes (river, vineyards, castles, lavender) and insisted on the photos looking natural. The shooting session took place on Wednesday and it was a success. They kindly authorized me to post some of the photos on my blog. For this first one the focus is on the apricots but in the next few days you'll discover the faces of Cheryl and Jonathan....

Voici venue la saison des abricots, quel régal. Et j'ai une grande nouvelle : je viens d'effectuer mon premier travail de commande. J'ai été contactée il y a quelques semaines par un jeune couple de Hong Kong qui ayant découvert mes photos grâce à mon blog, m'a demandé si j'accepterais de faire une séance de photos d'eux durant leur voyage en Provence. L'objectif était de sortir des très conventionnelles photos de mariage imposées par les photographes de Hong Kong et de tirer partir des décors provençaux (vignes, lavandes, chateaux, rivière) pour faire des photos très naturelles. La séance photos s'est déroulée mercredi après-midi et ça a été un succès. Ils m'ont très gentiment donné la permission d'utiliser quelques photos pour mon blog. Pour celle-ci la mise au point est sur les abricots mais dans les prochains jours vous découvrirez les visages de Cheryl et Jonathan...

ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I'm looking forward to seeing some more wedding photos but as for this one, those apricots just make me want to reach out and pick one and taste the juiciness of it. No apricots for us at the moment. Hopefully by the time we get to Provence, someone will have some homemade apricot jam left!

A wonderful balance in your wedding photo. I like the selective focus which gives the couple a very dreamy and mystical feel; almost dream like. Lovely!

ReplyDeleteTes deux photos me ramènent à une époque enchanteresse où mon beau frère auprès de son rocher au milieu de ses vignes, près de ses cerisiers et de son figuier avait un ENORME abricotier. Les fruits étaient quasi déssechés sur l'arbre nous les ramassions tombés. Hmmm, quel régal ! Confiture, clafouti, fruits au sirop et chutney !!!!
Tu as bien fait pour ce premier message de faire la mise au point sur ces petits soleils.
Les mariés ont l'air charmants. Ils raméneront avec tes photos des souvenirs moins lourds mais oh combien autant parfumés et hauts en couleurs, que des bocaux de verre !
