One year on...

Avignon in Photos is celebrating its first anniversary today. On this occasion, meet the author!
One year ago I was just back from Sydney, Australia, where I used to run a City Daily Photo blog called Sydney Daily Snap. Some of you know me from those days. At first I was determined I wouldn't start an Avignon Daily Photo. My first blog was about my love story with Sydney, no way I would start taking photos here! Never say never: three weeks later Avignon in Photos was born. My first post set the pace: there wasn't going to be more than two or three posts a week - late February, Avignon in Photos became daily. I must say that Avignon is a touristic star that lends itself to photography with some complacency, especially in summer, but I hope that following me year round you've also learnt a bit more about local life.

Il y a un an je rentrais juste de Sydney en Australie où je tenais Sydney Daily Snap, un blog membre du réseau City Daily Photo. Certains d'entre vous me suivent depuis cette époque. En arrivant ici j'étais déterminée à ne pas commencer un Avignon Daily Photo : mon premier blog était le fruit de mon histoire d'amour avec Sydney, je n'avais nulle intention de photographier Avignon. Tout le monde peut changer d'avis : trois semaines plus tard naissait Avignon in Photos. Mon premier billet fixait le rythme : il n'y aurait pas plus de deux ou trois billets par semaine. En février, Avignon in Photos devenait quotidien. Il faut dire qu'Avignon est une star touristique qui se prête à la photo avec complaisance, surtout en été, mais j'espère qu'en me suivant tout au long de l'année vous avez aussi découvert un peu de la vie locale.
