More shoe stories

Rue de la république, AvignonTwo shoe stories :
- Happy : Bluebeard and his mountain collection of ladies' shoes.
- Not happy : a lady who apparently walked in something wrong. Her husband very kindly kneeled down to clean her foot.

Hier une histoire de pieds, aujourd'hui deux histoires de chaussures :
- Heureux : "Barbe Bleue, l'espoir des femmes", collectionneur fétichiste de chaussures de femmes.
- Pas heureuse : une dame qui apparemment avait marché dans ce qu'il ne fallait pas. Son mari très gentiment s'est plié en deux pour lui nettoyer le pied.
The Avignon festival finishes on 31st of July. Only two more days to go and the show will be over. I hope you enjoy my last batch of photos over the next couple of days.

Le festival d'Avignon se termine le 31 juillet. Dans deux jours, le rideau tombera définitivement - jusqu'à l'année prochaine. Public et acteurs s'épuisent, il y a moins de monde dans les rues, la ville est prête à tourner la page...

    I don't think she is an "old lady" - she is elegant et d'un certain age - but how unelegant of you to call her "old"!

    Puddinglane makes a good point--it would be easier if she took her shoe off. But he looks so much more gallant doing it this way! It's a very sweet photo.

    Avignon - What is old? Aaaaah.
    Les autres le lisent sur nos rides et nous, nous le sentons dans notre énergie. Enfin je crois.

    Et quelquefois (souvent?) les deux ne sont pas synchro.

    Avignon - Oui tu aurais pu écrire "who is old?". En disant "what is old" tu demandais la définition du mot "old", ça marchait aussi...

    à mon avis, quel que soit le problème sous sa chaussure, la dame n'est plus assez souple pour faire elle-même le nécessaire.

    C'est ça être vieux :((

    Heureusement qu'elle a la chance d'avoir un compagnon serviable.
