J'ai pris cette photo samedi en fin d'après-midi mais je n'arrive plus à me souvenir dans quelle rue. Je marchais, j'ai levé le nez et j'ai cliqué, ça a été instantané. La photo n'a pas été retouchée, même pas pour pousser un peu le contraste.
I took this photo on Saturday afternoon but can't remember in which street. I was walking along, saw this window and clicked, it was an instant thing. The photo hasn't been tampered with, not even for extra contrast.
I like the waviness of old glass, which is something that you see more often in Europe than in the USA, especially in places like Arizona. In my office I have a barrister's bookcase in which 4 of the 5 glass cases have original, wavy glass, but one of them must have been broken and replaced at some point over the decades.
Parfois on a une idee dans la tete quand on sort sur le genre de photo que l'on aimerait prendre ce jour-la puis quelque chose se presente d'inattendu et clic: immortalise sur un blog. Comme c'est beau l'ancien!
A facinating photo. It is increasingly rare to see the old glass here in California but every so often we do. So often every thing must be new! Sadly! This is beautiful, once again your artist eye!! xx Susan

ReplyDeleteYes Dave - in this case all 6 original glass panes seem to be intact. It is becoming rare!
