Teapot on kitchen table

The great thing about being on holiday is you have time to read the paper after breakfast, and when suddenly you realise that the sun has turned and reached the teapot on the kitchen table, you have nothing better to do than grab your camera and start turning around the scene, feeling both thrilled and light hearted.

Home and garden

A breath of fresh air from the Alps near Lake Leman where I was last week.
It was very pleasant to get away from the heat of the "midi" and to tuck under a doona at night.

Monday painting

With September comes the return of my Monday painting series. Last time I showed purple artichokes, it was on a market in August 2009 here. Do you have them where you live? Their honey scent is divine.

Inside / out

I tried photographing my autumn fruit bowl on the kitchen bench and outside, on the stone wall overlooking the olive grove. Do you have a preference for one or the other?

PS - Those of you who are familiar with my view from my window photos know that there is no olive grove under my rooftop terrace in Avignon. But change is underway: I will soon be leaving the city to move to the country just 35 minutes away. The view here will be that from my new home.  As a result Avignon-in-Photos is soon to take a striking curve - stay tuned for further news.
