Provencal thermal springs

Montbrun les bains
A couple of images of Montbrun les Bains, a small Provençal village located to the north east of Mont Ventoux. When I was there on the weekend before last, almond trees were bursting with milky pink blossoms. With its narrow streets, old church and ruined castle, Montbrun les bains is classified as one of France's most beautiful villages. As the name suggests (les bains means "the baths"), the village also boasts thermal springs where a beautiful recently upgraded complex offer a warm pool, spa baths and steam room (hammam) as well as a variety of health and fitness treatments. I must say that spending the afternoon in hot water while enjoying views such as this made for a very enjoyable Sunday; I hope to go back soon.

I went there with my mother and sister and it was a wonderful girl thing to do. We all had a great time.

Oh I do love thermal springs. I visited a few while traveling through the outback in Australia. These shots are so beautiful - you have a wonderful eye.

Bonjour! Nathalie,

I have to second your notion...this a very beautiful region and I think the photograph of the ruined castle is most...intriguing.

I truly understand why you hope to go back (from your photographs, I can almost smell the fresh air)...soon.

Merci,
DeeDee ;-D

Isn't that the village with the excellent little restaurant in what used to be a garage?
