Sunday bridge

Pont d'AvignonOnce again I'm taking you back to the famous pont d'Avignon, the one on which people sing and dance. No dancing here though : the first arch is one under which road traffic passes. Make sure you don't drive a big truck - height is limited to 3.2 meters, and much less on the side lanes. The numerous scratches in the stone tell of many drivers who weren't careful enough...

Hi Nathalie, I haven't commented on your blog for so long. I like this bridge and I love the manacing looking sky.

L'orage qui vient passera-t-il sur ou sous le pont ?

Finally ! That's the bridge which we sang about at the Alliance Francaise French classes all those years ago.

Thanks for sharing.

I knew that the road passed under this arch but have never seen it from this viewpoint. The angry skies are a dramatic contrast to the whiteness of the bridge... wonderful!

Bonjour! Nathalie...
Happy Easter! Sunday to you, and your readers too!
The photograph is very lovely!...I like days like that where the day looks so peaceful, and serene.
[Even with the slight damage caused by the trucks to the side Of the bridge.]
Merci, for sharing!
