Terre de vins

From PujautFrom the same vantage point as yesterday, this time not looking south towards Avignon but north (above) to the hilltop village of Chateauneuf-du-Pape with its vineyards overlooking the Rhone and (below) east to the plains. There was no wind on that day, the air was still and the light was soft, it was a gorgeous autumn afternoon.
Every Friday, bloggers get together on Skywatch Friday to share images of skies all around the world. Click here to see thumbnails for all participants.

Nathalie - at first I guessed that you were leaning out a helicopter window for this photo! Ha!

I finally figured out that there are both white and red chateauneuf du papes, and they are both delicious...

Deux regards d'une grande sérénité.
Un grand cru que le Châteauneuf!

I applied a watercolour treatment to these photos, thus enhancing their soft blur. I hope you like it.

Breathtaking views Nathalie! What a fabulous vantage point you had to take these shots.
