A walk with Jilly

Violets, old stone walls and wild garlic, I took a beautiful walk last week around a village that isn't near Avignon : Gorbio, a perched village on the riviera. My guide was none other than Jilly of Menton Daily Photo fame, whom I was visiting for the day. After a great lunch at restaurant Beauséjour in Gorbio (indoors unfortunately, too cold to be outside) we set off on a walk around the hills, happily clicking away. Coats, scarves, clouds covering the hilltops, it was a chilly day of spring but our joy and laughter kept us warm. I love it when blogging friendships move from the virtual world to the real one. The visit continues tomorrow.

Always so so so good to spend time with you dear Nathalie. Love the photos - all that wild garlic and violets.

I too love it when bloggers become friends and as you well know, I greatly value our friendship - please come back soon!

T'as pas vu mon mail passer ?

Two bloggers walking together have a special bond. "Clicking away," as you say.

I love that old wall. Always in admiration of those long ago who built such walls.

Just as a path in rural France looks in my fancy--flowers, green, old stones, and Jilly!

Beautiful capture on that first shot of the gorgeous surroundings, the path and the touch of purple in the violets. I love seeing Jilly and it warms my heart that you two were together.

Bises,
Genie

Oh Nathalie, I can hear the laughter and feel the good time you two spent together. I'm so sorry I couldn't be there to join you. I can't wait to see all the photos you two captured that day. Yes, blog friends become very dear don't they!

Thanks for sharing.
Your beautiful images brought back some nice memories when we went to the south of France, and also met Jilly.
