Gay friendly

Avignon, place de l'horlogeThe Festival d'Avignon hosts a number of plays and shows exploring the gay and transvestite scene. Outrageous costumes are so common here during the festival that drag queens walking down the street in the middle of the afternoon are just part of the normal fun!

I had some friends who had a condo on a street where, from the comfort of their living room, they could look out the window and enjoy this type of scene walking past their place evey Saturday night.

So many beautiful people. I wish I were as brave as you to ask for portraits.

How fun! You've really been capturing the spirit of the festival. I'm thoroughly enjoying this series of photos. Avignon seems like such a colorful, lively, and upbeat place to be these days, despite the heat. Thank you, Nathalie.

Great photos here. The Stockholm equivalent to this starts in a weeks time. All major political leaders will attend except for the religions loony.
