Morning jog anyone?

Taking a breather after yesterday's heated debate.
7:30 am along the Rhone just upstream of the Pont d'Avignon. In Sydney such a prime location would be full of joggers at that time of day - not in Avignon. The early morning jog or power walk before work is not part of the local culture; people would rather stay in bed longer (if anything girls tend to use their lunchtime to go to the gym, skipping lunch in the process or eating lightly - all benefit to the waistline). What about you?

Great shot! I prefer night jogging myself.

Oh this is such a beautiful serene scene I almost regret breaking the silence. I posted a few days ago that I don't remember seeing all that many joggers/runners around Paris. Peter pointed out that there are many in the parks. I suspect I'm so intent on photographs I don't take note! Nevertheless, I think Americans are more often out running than the French. Well HELLO! we have much more to "run off":(

Same here, very few joggers - well none up here - ha-ha - but by the sea and en route to Monaco you see some but I suspect they are visitors, not French. I'd rather stay in bed but unfortunately I'm normally up picking up poop! Such glamour.

What a glorious peaceful scene. Good choice after yesterday! Bises, Nathalie.

I love this shot. The mist on the river seems mystical.

J'adorerais courir là vers 7h/7h30... Malheureusement, je ne vis pas à... Avignon...

Chri, tu m'as fait rire!!!

What a beautiful place for a run - or a walk - or even a crawl!

Bonjour! Nathalie,

What a very peaceful, serene, and beautiful photograph where I can almost smell the "fresh" air along the Rhone just upstream of the Pont d'Avignon.

Nathalie, I would probably take a stroll along the Rhone, which is just upstream from Pont d'Avignon, with my niece and nephrew in tow.

Merci, for sharing!

I don't jog nor Nordic walk yet but I will when out of the hotel and our stuff has arrived - via Barcelona! :) Yes, from Cairo to Barcelona but why, we don't know!
Have a goooood Friday!

A most lovely setting. I especially love the misty reflection in the water.
I'm so sorry to hear you did not fair better in the Croation tourism contest. You certainly are deserving and would have done a bang up job for them. I hope you have another opportunity for a similar gig soon. Keep at it. Some doors need a little force before they open :-). You're good and it will happen for you, I just know it.

such a lovely picture! I was in Avignon a couple of years ago, only for one day (wish it could've been longer), and thought it was a really beautiful city. All your photos remind me of why I loved it so much :)
