Man in pink

Bords du Rhône, ile de la Barthelasse.By the water's edge, waiting for a boat passage across the Rhône. In France it is no longer unusual to see a man wearing a pink shirt or sweater. I personally love it. Do men wear pink in your country? Would you?

Moi j'aime. Et vous ?

"Man in pink with a wide-brimmed hat" !

Men in pink... why not ?

Until recently, some men in the USA were reluctant to wear pink, but for a couple of reasons, the resistance is wearing down. One general reason is just that pink is becoming common enough in men's clothing that fewer and fewer men think of it exclusively as a symbol of femininity. But even more, pink has been adopted as the color for supporting breast cancer research, so many men now wear pink as a sign of their support. October is the biggest month, and we see many, many men in pink this month. I like pink and wear it in ties and shirts.

Very interesting, well observed !

Pink is considered quite a queer colour, here in India. But as is the case of France, presently, there are a lot of men adopting pink as a usual colour.

Jack, your comment is interesting. In France pink isn't closely associated with supporting breast cancer research and unless I've missed something I doubt this is the reason why men wear it here. I think that in France it is seen more as a sign of freedom, a statement that you enjoy being in touch with your feminine side. In fact pink is often chosen by wives for their husbands.

I love a man in pink, shows he's sure enough about himself not to care what others think! Beautiful reflections Nathalie, both in thoughts and image!

An interesting capture and not a little bizarre. I'm glad you explained what you were seeing.

I think you got something with this photo. It captured my attention right away. If I was judging photos for some award you would be among the top three with this photo.
