Place Pasteur

Place Pasteur
In the middle of Pasteur square (place Pasteur) sits a charming stone basin and water fountain. Next to it is a cafe and snack shaded by four horse chestnuts (Aesculus hippocastanum) and a boulangerie (bakery) where kids come and buy candy after school. But the fountain is also surrounded by parked cars, which I wanted to keep out of my photo - so I chose to show its reflection only.

Relaxing photo, and wise choice to keep the cars out.

The advantage with the cars here is that it allowed (forced) you to take a different and very nice photo! Cars, at least for non-residents, should be forbidden in Avignon intra-muros! (Where do you park yours?)

Nice photo and no less beautiful without the rest of it.

Peter I have a resident's pass which allows me to park anywhere in town without paying the parking metre but spaces are hard to find and most of the time I end up parking just oustide the remparts, and it is then a 10 minute walk home.

I've always been able to park my park in my driveway before so this arrangement has taken some adjusting to, but I quite like it. It means you only take your car when you REALLY need it. And living in town means you can do most of your errands on foot anyway. It's a very eco-friendly way to live and I love it.

Water as an object of a photography is fascinating!
This your fine and interesting photo is from so different environment compared with my water photo, but perhaps you have time to look at my yesterday photos :)

Tu as une belle idee...
