From afar in the plains

Villeneuve lez Avignon
Notre Dame des Doms cathedral was built high up on the rocky outcrop of Rocher des Doms, which makes it visible from afar in the plains along the Rhone river. Can you see it there in the distance? The soggy field says something about the amount of rain we've had lately.

A slightly closer view. If you click on the photo to enlarge it you may be able to recognise the golden statue of Virgin Mary at the top of the bell tower.

Just being built, you say? That golden statue looks very similar to the one atop Palais des papes.

The photo of the dam is very pretty and when I enlarge it I see the four kids (?) and the dog fetchiing something from out of the dam. Were the kids with you?

That field sure looks water-logged. Would not want to try to get a tractor across it.

Bonjour Nathalie !

So close to where you live and you walked so far (getting wet feet?) to get these different and nice photos! That's the right spirit!

Yes, I clicked on the photo and also better saw the four persons waiting to take care of the probably wet and dirty (but forgiven) dog.

Did you cry, "Uncle!" yet. You get more rain until you cry, Uncle. Enough is enough. Are you ready for some sunshine?

Look at all that rain!!! We could use some, in California. It's only rained a couple of days, if that, in the last few months.
