Festival in blue

Rue Sainte Catherine, Avignon
I would have loved to show you lots of images of the Avignon theatre festival like the previous years but  I've been so busy with work lately that I haven't had time to be out and about taking pictures, let alone download them on my computer, process them and prepare them for posting. Tomorrow I'm off on vacation for a couple of weeks without a computer and I doubt I'll be able to post anything during this time. Until I get back  I'm leaving you with this image which I took a couple of years ago inside a very old building undergoing renovation. The place was being gutted and the floor was littered with rubble one foot deep among which I found the remnants of this poster...  The festival never dies, it is re-born every year and I will be back for the final week of it. There will be some photos, I promise. Come back soon !

And during this time off something will happen that is much more important than my blog : my three children will be reunited for the first time in almost four year.
My son will be arriving from New Zealand (we haven't seen him since December 2008) and his twin sister will be coming down from London where she now resides. Both are celebrating their 25th birthday today so we'll have a belated birthday celebration on July 15th when they join my youngest daughter who lives with me in Avignon. Can you imagine my joy as a mother to have all three of them together?
