On a sweet balmy night eight thousand spectactors gathered at the amazing 2000-year old Roman-built
Ancient Theater of Orange last Saturday to listen to the
Spectacul'art choir and solists sing the best songs from
Starmania, a French/Quebecois musical from the late seventies. Many of its songs have passed into mainstream Francophone pop culture.In 1992 an English version of the show was created with the release of the album Tycoon.

La nuit était belle et tiède et huit mille spectateurs se sont réunis au théâtre antique d'Orange samedi dernier pour écouter les 200 choristes de l'association Spectacul'art et quelques bons solistes chanter les plus belles chansons de Starmania, l'opéra rock composé par Michel Berger en 1976. Depuis "la complainte de la serveuse automate" jusqu'au "blues du businessman", beaucoup sont devenues des tubes de la chanson française. J'en connais quelques-unes presque par coeur.
