This particular street corner seems to be a favorite with street artists. You will see below that before this work, there was another one back in January. Unfortunately the lady who owns the house hates it all. She arrived home just as I was taking the bottom photo, we chatted briefly, she was furious. Aftern trying to tear the paper off round the back of the character's head, she went home and rang the city council to ask for a clean-up. The wall was repainted a few days later (not high enough to cover the red flag though) but it wasn't long before Superman appeared. I imagine she's the one who tore part of his cape off. I personally find these art works fun and creative but street artists if you read me (and I know some of you occasionally do), how about choosing another location for your creativity from now on?

Ce coin de rue semble particulièrement attirer les artistes sauvages. Ci-dessous, un autre collage datant du mois de janvier, homme assis sur le rebord du mur. Je le trouvais plutôt charmant mais malheureusement la dame qui vit là n'apprécie pas du tout. Je l'ai vue rentrer chez elle alors que je prenais des photos, nous avons un peu parlé, elle était exaspérée. C'est elle qui a commencé à arracher le papier à l'arrière de la tête du personnage. Ne réussissant pas à le décoller davantage, elle est partie téléphoner aux services de la mairie pour que tout soit repeint, ce qui a été fait quelques jours plus tard (pas assez haut cependant pour couvrir en entier le drapeau rouge - ça doit être la hauteur syndicale ?). Mais il ne s'est pas écoulé très longtemps avant que Superman apparaisse. J'imagine que c'est la même dame qui lui a déchiré sa cape. Personnellement j'adore ces clins d'oeil qui parsèment la ville mais oh les artistes si vous me lisez, je crois que ce serait sympa d'aller porter votre créativité ailleurs.
