Aubune in grey

Notre Dame d'Aubune, Beaumes de Venise
From the almost naked vineyards emerges the now familiar church spike of the little chapel of Notre Dame d'Aubune. We've had more rain this autumn than I can ever remember and it's raining again today. Thick clay clings to your boots if you attempt to go for a walk. This particular plot of vine was replanted a couple of years ago - notice how the new pickets are aluminum instead of wood as they used to be.

Such a moody sky! It captures the mood of the place so well!

The mood in the sky really makes the terrain stand out!

It's pleasing that I can look at this beautiful photo and know where you stood when you took it. Every image lives on it's own merits but knowing the context deepens appreciation.
