A cathedral as a climbing wall

Cathédrale Notre Dame des Doms, Avignon
Just alongside  Notre-Dame des Doms cathedral in Avignon is a side door which gives access to a private part of the church. A group of teenagers decided to explore it as a climbing wall. They seemed amazingly good to me - their swift and confident moves were a pleasure to watch. This post is my entry to the City Daily Photo Theme Day : Enjoying life: click to see other ways of enjoying life in other cities around the world.

I wonder what a nun would think of that!

I just love these shots. It almost seems like they are posing for you.

A nun would be scandalized, at least the ones I knew! They would see disrespect where you see creativity. I love that door and the worn old steps...It's almost as though those boys wore blue to add some color.

Yes all, a nun would probably be scandalized but I hadn't even thought of that. In my oponion disrepect would have been writing on the wall or some other damage...

Oui Chri, sans doute. Je n'y avais pas pensé.

Regarding your question at my post for yesterday, the rink's free, and it's open longer- early December and well into May. It's not really at the mercy of weather either- the Canal can close for a few days because of a warm up, and generally its season will be shorter.

How fun! These are perfect for this month's theme.

I'm a bit clumsy, so people who do this amaze me. Even more so the people we've seen one or two hundred meters up a rock wall in our Southwest.

Didn't have time to do a theme day post for joy of life but we're getting a bit of it at the moment in Costa Rica.

A novel approach to religion and also healthy. Great catch and perfect timing! Thank you so much for your comment, it was an honor!
