Villeneuve les Avignon
My photos may be misleading, these baby figs are really tiny still - the leaves speak for it. But as I discover them I can't help but feel a tinge of anticipation in my taste buds. Do you have figs where you live?

Ah, I see the late night bloggess has been at it again. Would love to see a long time-lapse series of photos that show these little beauties as they emerge from the end of the branch, and then start swelling... too incredible, and too good once ripe. The only figs we have here in the far north that I know of are the ones in the cookie tin, dried, origin Morocco...
Ours are ready to have. Well. birds are having them mostly.
No figs in Kentucky! Except at the grocery store.

Yes, we have figs in Charleston, South Carolina, but they are not ready yet; perhaps they will be by mid-summer.
Unfortunately my husband's little fig tree is growing very slowly. I don't think it receives enough sun.
As you would know, ours DU are shutting up shop for the fallow. However, I shot new shoots on one in Canberra just last weekend. But no fruit until November ...
I love the possibility that your photo carries with it, Nathalie.
This is an optimistic image, a lovely spring image,
Huummm !...
They 'do' look bigger than they are but I know they are small as mine are the same. I so agree, when I first see those leaves start to appear and the tiny figs sprout, we know of good things to look forward to. Your photos are just delightful.
Boudiéu aqueli bello figo !
Soun pas secado lèi!
There are no figs in Poland. Beautiful photo!
I have a fig tree in my back yard and it looks very much like this right now!
We do have figs, but you have to look for them I love them, fresh or dried!
Yes, we've got them! (In the greengrocers)
I have a fig tree in my garden, giving delicious fruits. But, as I am approx. 600 km north of you (Loire Valley), they're not as as early as yours ;-(
Ha figs... Birmingham, you must be joking i wish, mind you i do have a lemon tree in my bathroom that is putting on a good growth spurt at the moment.
Visit Algarve, in Portugal, to eat wonderful figs in the Summer :) and the cakes made with fig, delicious!
Not without a huge amount of cossetting and preferably a greenhouse, but I've noticed that the gardening catalogues are featuring figs more and more. Perhaps they know more about the warming of Scotland than I do.
Sadly fresh figs aren't common in the area of Florida where I live. I had the most amazing figs in my life last October while in France. Have recently spotted a fig tree in my local market, so am trying to find a spot for one. They are truly divine. Lovely photo!
