Dog walk

Dog walk, hyper-realistic style. Where does the slightly uneasy feeling come from?

From the constant threat to purity. White clothing, or nearly so; small white dog; pale, perfect concrete; manicured lawn. The world is a messy place and entropy threatens at every turn.

wonderful shadow picture!

Bob thank you so much - I looked up entropy, a word I'd never come across before, and learned a lot.

I particularly enjoyed the explanation by Coffee House Philosopher in the Urban Dictionary:

Un léger malaise ?
La dame s'en va à gauche
le chien à droite !

Un peu hitchcockien comme atmosphère!

Beau graphisme.

I love this photo. Everything about it. Congratulations on a great capture. I would very much like to see it in black and white as well. Brava!

@ Tamera - I considered switching this photo to black and white but in the end decided against it. I think the very green grass adds to the spirit of the shot.

The shadows seem so straight compared to the curvatures of the figure.

Nice shows but interesting - no fascinating - to read Bob's comment. I too had never heard of the word entropy other than entropian which is when a dogs eyelids turn in - can't work out, therefore how the word came into this use. But fascinating. My brain won't quite get around the connection to this photo. It sure is tidy tho.
