Through my window

Yes I know: my blog posts have been all about the weather lately but I guess it's a natural change from living in town. In Avignon my eye was attracted to a vast array of things from street life and architecture to events and street art; now that I've moved to the country I tend to take mainly nature, home and garden shots. As it happens, Provence is experiencing its wettest spring in decades so here's my latest winge about the torrential rains we've had over the weekend, a new chance to experiment with wet window effects.

That is not what you expected when moving to the country I think. This spring is disastrous everwhere. Since 1972 we didn't have such a bad weather here.

I am sorry to hear the weather has been so sad. I hope it improves soon as we are headed back to Sablet at the end of the week. Lots of sunshine in Northern California so hopefully it will follow us to the Vaucluse.

People all over Europe have been complaining this past winter and now in the spring. I was there for ten days in the beginning of April and it was dreadful. So sorry for you . . .

You have the nicest touch when shooting through wet glass.

Weather. I hope the tornado sirens don't go off during the night. This country has had some of the most violent weather in the world in the last few years.
