Crime scene

It's amazing the scenes you witness when you roam the streets of Avignon at sunset. Do you think I should have called the police? I merely took a photo - perhaps to be used as evidence? I read the local paper 'la Provence' the next morning but there was no news of a murder by hammer in front of the Popes' Palace.
bb

Oh well done, Nathalie! That's brilliant. :D

Delightfully sinister ;-)
Maybe we should call in Inspector Maigret?

Hercule Poirot will work it all out for you!

Nathalie - because you are not on the DP list I forget to look at this wonderful blog. I shall make changes so I do! Your Blogging Friends list is a great idea.

This photo is a hoot! Your photos are marvellous. Adore 'In Heaven' and some of the street of Avignon which are marvellous.

And thanks for comments today. You are right about the umbrella. In fact I was taking photos of something else and this was an 'off' shot but I still like it, even tho, photography-wise it's sure got faults! I'll improve - she said optimistically!

Was this phot really "accidental" or did you direct the actors? It's almost too good to be true! (You don't have to answer; leave us in the doubt.)
Happy to see you back commenting on my blog and understand that you now are well installed in your new life. You promised one day to show your new window shutters...

There is some slight difference in black or gray coloring. The hammer being darker. I suspect you have a ghost at work here. Very clever he is.

That's a well needed laugh on a day when things haven't been the best (I've lost that election I wa sin).

Just proves you are back in France! Life is like one long New Wave / Film Noir isn't it?????

Oh, yes, the frangipani has a way to go, BUT the jacarandas are in now. It was indeed a VERY windy day!

Ils sont parfois complètement "marteau" les gens... :-) joli travail.

dear o dear ! Nathalie ! what is this ?
The best thing to do is to scream.
The man wearing the hat has a walking stick, must be the real murderer.

Watched a Hindi movie in my school days. The Hero is walking on the street in the night and hears a girl's voice screaming for help, HELP HELP. Our Hero jumps, scales the wall, a man is having both his hands on the girl's throat and the girl is still screaming for help. The hero is quick, frees the girl and starts bashing up the man. Now the girl starts bashing up the Hero, and the murderer joins her and the girl pours a bucket of water on the Hero. Then the Hero learns that they have been rehearsing for a play. They later fall in love.

i think this too looks like they are rehearsing for a play.
Terrific capture Nathalie.

Hehe, and there was only a blind man in a trilby as witness....

Nathalie !

very clever...i like it!
and i like your blog; a fine advert for Avignon (which i visited many years ago!)

Maxime said...

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

The detail in these profiles is simply splendid. I love it and find myself coming back each day for more.
All these comments would go towards a good murder mystery film script.

In the next day or two, I shall be responding to your, "well rounded" comment on my blog post of yesterday.
The title is to be called, "Quelques réminiscences pour Nathalie à Avignon".

Have been away and have had terrible phonelines so haven't been able to visit as much as i would like. Great to touch base with you again and see all your marvellous photos.

By the way - The butler did it!!!!

Antonioni landed in Avignon, but forgot Poirot. The mystery will always remain...

your pic (true or false?) tells us all about the journalistic issue: would you keep your camera on and shoot an horrible scene happening or would you let your camera down and interfere?...
good story anyway!
talk to you soon?
