Three seagulls

Good deal this week: three seagulls for the price of one!
But this one isn't from Avignon. You can occasionally see a few seagulls here (the Med is only a 1.5 hour drive away) but the wet sand in this photo is from my favourite Australian beach.
Oh fond memories of Sydney... I haven't seen the sea for three months now.

Fantastic photo! Understand that you "had" to show it!
A trip to la Camargue in December (when you have got your car) should be nice - if you pick a day without Mistral! I got married there (or close to) once upon the time, a December day - and the Mistral was also present!

Hi Nathalie,
I was talking to that very same seagull on Saturday. He was at Bondi, complete with his shadow and his reflection.
William tried to catch him and nearly caused him to leave his shadow behind.
Bondi Junction was crappy, (a concrete jungle), but William enjoyed it from my shoulders.

Sans souci, as they say back in Sydney.

It's lovely to see you settling in, in your new-found ville and home. Perhaps we will pass through Avignon in August. I imagine that the Mediterranean will call you in the same way that the Pacific did, a while back.

Ah, an unmistakeable "Nathalie". Was this a single snap, or THE one of 10 shots to try and catch the little fellow? Superb execution, whatever.

Chuckeroon, this was one of about 20 photos taken, chasing this poor seagull and his mates around!

The poor thing was getting really fed up with me, but I wanted him to turn around just so, so I would have his shadow and reflection clearly visible!

Well spotted - although I see it was 1 of 20 - but you knew what you wanted. I've never been to Sydney or Aus, but someone was complaining to me the other day about the flies there. Maybe that's some compensation

Superbe photo

Su-per-be!

Bien vu. Le reflet est magnifique. Bonne nuit

OK, I admit to having a "blonde moment"...was searching your post for the 2 remaining seagull pictures ;-)

Fantastic photo!

And get yourself to the beach, girl...one whiff of the sea air and you'll feel rejuvenated!

un beau trio en effet

Thank you for the big smile, Nathalie! Not only a wonderful photo, but such a sweet, cute seagull. Do you have any trips planned to go to the Mediterranean this winter?

Maxime said...

Brilliant photo, Natalie.

Take the train to Nice or Cannes and dip your feet into the Mediterranean sea. It is probably too cold to swim in it now.

Superbe compo.Reflet, ombre et la mouette. Bravo!!! Votre site sera dorénavant inscrit dans mes favoris. Amicalement et à bientôt.

I, and others, loved your comment about "tenacity." Thanks so much.

A great photo and a great title: the bird with its shadow and its reflection.

As ever, superbe!!

Oh, nathalie, i hope that mistral does not send you too loopy. Sydney is in its pre-summer prime now. We have had enough rain to green things up, and the temps are low 20s, and delightful - but getting hotter inland, a harbinger of the baking summer sun ;-( Why can't Sydney be like the wonderful brief 3 weeks we call "spring", and the Indian summer and melting days of autumn and the crisp clearness of sparkling inter all the time - and just skip the really yucky bit!

Eventually i will put the whole tassie trip up on my ballofdirt site and let you now.

errr. know, that it!
