Theme day : mailbox

Rue GrivolasEach first day of the month is theme day for all City Daily Photo bloggers. Our theme for May 1st is mailboxes. In France, mailboxes are yellow. I chose a bird's eye view. For hundreds of other mailboxes throughout the world, click here to view thumbnails for all participants

What a great perspective!

I wonder how many days it would take your postcard from Avignon to arrive in my mailbox here in Eagan if you mailed it in one of the yellow "La poste" mailboxes... J'attends

J'adore ! Especially the first one. It's an excellent idea to have taken this photo from above.

I completely forgot the theme day !!!

Super shot, Nathalie. I love the way the yellow absolutely pops out at us. Great idea to take this from above.

Looking only the first shot, I thought "Hopefully the woman will not forget to drop her post". Then I saw the 2nd shot and I was assuaged.

I've noticed the yellow mailboxes are quite common in Europe.

It is wide to have a trash can nearby. That is where most of my mail goes.

What a screaming bright yellow color. I wonder if the postal authorities every had a meeting to discuss whether they should have mail boxes that blend in with the surroundings. That idea obviously got rejected.

Your perspective from above is perfect with the yellow boxes as the focal, stationary point. Great action around these boxes!
