Inside a Provencal home

The Mas de la Pyramide in Saint Rémy de Provence where we had lunch the other day isn't only an amazing place to eat, it's also a step in time : while the farmhouse is still lived it, it can also be visited : the old family photo and traditional furniture, tools and lamps all tell of the traditional lifestyle of Lolo's parents and ancestors. In the barn and cellar, a display of ancient tools and machines tell of the farming, wine-making and olive oil extracting techniques of by-gone days. Lolo himself or his faithful friend of 50 years are happy to give you a tour of the place. This home is a lived-in museum - simply amazing.

Years ago, we spent some time at an extraordinary place a bit like this, http://www.week-in-provence.com/. I just looked at their web site for the first time in years. It was much cheaper back then. We would love to go to the place in your posts.

I still love that outdoor kitchen, but when the weather is cold the house does look inviting.
How did you manage to get an invite to dinner?
