Suzette, a village in Provence

Suzette, 119 inhabitants, altitude 392 metres, a tiny jewel perched in the steep hills of the Dentelles de Montmirail range in the heart of Provence's wine country. As you hike up above the village, you find a few houses scattered in the vineyards, each with its own breathtaking views. I think if I didn't work I wouldn't mind living in one of them, at least a few months a year.  It's a place so pristine, so quiet, so remote from the world you feel nothing could ever happen to you there. Different angles, different light and time of day, which view do you prefer?

The second one is my favourite. What a gorgeous setting.

I like them all! But as usual, I agree with William.
There's something so romantic about a remote village in the vineyards.

A village in France that looks so remote and peaceful. It is enchanting! Do you live nearby?

Incredible to me that there are still places like this that are pristine and undeveloped! I think I like that last photo the best because it includes the village, the grape plants, and a pretty sky.

@ JM - yes I live approx 7 km from there, a little bit further down the hill but still with a gorgeous view. I feel so lucky to live in the region!

Such pretty shots of the scenery.

It makes me think of being on tour with Jilly. Provence has some of the prettiest villages and countryside in the world.

I'm writing this in Marysville, Kansas, where we are visiting Carolyn's 97 year old mother. Very quiet here, too, but big enough to have a Walmart. Lucky them.
