Two gorgeous photographs. I love valerian - a weed really and what a great weed. That second photo is magical with that beautiful path windiny along the river. Heaven.
Owen the path runs downstream from the Pont d'Avignon all the wayto the Pont de l'Europe here where it stops. It's a lovely place for a walk but little known because almost invisible from the road. The only drawback is precisely the noise from that road, just off to the right here. Some pictures don't tell you everything ;-)
Richard, I understood the guy complaining about the missing slope was Belgian ... and when I still lived in Sweden, he was Norwegian! :-)
Nathalie, yes I understand that these photos were taken before Eastern. Had planned a trip to Arles and its Eastern festivities, but guess that it would have been quite rainy.
A bientôt ...
Nathalie, What a wonderful place to stroll and take photos. I 'm thinking i could tune out the street noise for this view. My walking trail that I walk each day is near a busy street for a bit. I just crank up my IPOD a little more! ha V
I recognise the Valerian in the first photo - I've been struggling to get rid of it from my garden this year before it flowers - which won't be until late June here. But it's nice to see it here in its wild setting.

Hi, it's a very great blog.
I could tell how much efforts you've taken on it.
Keep doing!
Looks like a beautiful place to take a walk on an Easter morning... how far does the path go along the river ? Is it a bike path too ?
This looks like an ideal place for a long walk!
How beautiful! I love the looks of that pathway.

No wonder the Rhone is fast flowing - it's REALLY STEEP.
Reminds me of the Irishman who bought some water skis, but sold them after a while complaining that he couldn't find a lake with a slope
You're lucky to have such a nice walk so close by. How green everything is already!

Beautiful photos. Avignon is gorgeous.
Beautiful! We were there last November...what a different place in the Spring! Wish I were walking down the path today!

What a wonderful day.
Richard, believe it or not I'd never heard that joke. Maybe it only runs around ski countries. Nice one. And Peter's comment spices it up nicely!
you have so many such good photos!!!
can you please share the photos with all of US at
MyCOJ photo sharing ?
Welcome!!
