Canicule, suite

It may look like a delightful place to be but the sunflowers in the vase on the table give an idea of how hot it really is. The heat wave continues and we're exhausted.

Here it has vanished in two days after 36 degrees C. Now we have cooled down to 24 C, which I prefer more....Wish you the best.

Glad I took my trip to Paris in the spring! If you didn't mention the flowers in the vase, we wouldn't have known how hot it was. The scenery is picture perfect!

We've had our heat wave last month - the hottest July in the states EVER.
August is appearing to be cooler, thank goodness.

Stay cool!

We just went through a miserable heat wave in Colorado, it was unbearable! I know exactly how you're feeling. Finally it has cooled down here. I hope you get some relief soon.

If you hadn't told us, I wouldn't have known from the photo that it was so hot. Here, it is spectacular. (Sorry.)

Looks like a rather perfect place to be... of course if you have the choice, in slightly cooler weather - not too cool though! :-)

We are coming to the end of our winter here in Sydney, and today was 29C. And very windy. Ending in a severe thunderstorm.

More like November than August ...

Now I know the word for heat wave in French. C de Q says it's 37 or 38 around Paris.

I read a scary article in the New York Times about the potentially severe environmental danger of air conditioning (as it exists now), particularly as the middle class grows in India and China. We need either a second home in Winnipeg or a deep, secluded cave.

@ biebkriebels : I saw your post about the 2 bike-riders on the day of the heat wave. You're right, the crowded beaches aren't the only option. I chose to visit 2 museums in Nimes on Sunday, escaping the heat in delightfully air-conditioned location!

Nathalie : the CDPB Theme Day is on again next weekend, 1st September, and the theme is 'People Watching'. You are welcome to contribute to Eric's Face Book group page (http://www.facebook.com/groups/2628431329/) or to the Linky page for those who do not frequent FB (http://cdpbthemeday.blogspot.com.au/). I hope you are able to contribute.

Cheers and take care

Looks like a wonderful place!
I like the colors and the relaxed atmosphere.

We had +14C last night.
If we are lucky we will have +18 at lunch time.
