Of apricots and weddings

Villeneuve lez Avignon

The apricot season is on and what a delight it is. And the big news I just got my first big photographic assignment: I was contacted a few weeks ago by a young couple from Hong Kong who discovered my photos through my blog, loved what they saw and asked me if I would do photo portraits of them during their holiday in Provence. Wanting to get out of the very formatted wedding photos imposed by photographers in Hong Kong, they were keen on provencal landscapes (river, vineyards, castles, lavender) and insisted on the photos looking natural. The shooting session took place on Wednesday and it was a success. They kindly authorized me to post some of the photos on my blog. For this first one the focus is on the apricots but in the next few days you'll discover the faces of Cheryl and Jonathan....
(I just added some explanations about yesterday's chappel and paintings, please read previous post)

Just catching up, Nathalie. Love the apricots and so look forward to your wedding photographs. And many congratulations on a so well-deserved assignment.

Adore that little chapel and it's fabulous interior. What a find.

Apologies for lack of comments recently. I'm in America. But slowly, from today, hope to start commenting a little more regularly.

Congratulations! I'm looking forward to seeing some more wedding photos but as for this one, those apricots just make me want to reach out and pick one and taste the juiciness of it. No apricots for us at the moment. Hopefully by the time we get to Provence, someone will have some homemade apricot jam left!

Someone will make sure this happens, Mrs Benaut!

Tree ripened apricots are the best. Beautiful photos - just want to reach out & pick one.

Une reconnaissance internationale méritée.

Tu peux me mettre quelques kg de côté?

A wonderful balance in your wedding photo. I like the selective focus which gives the couple a very dreamy and mystical feel; almost dream like. Lovely!

Bon sang !

I was here. I did look at your picture(s) and I did read what you wrote about them. I could say how great you are and how beautiful your work is but alas I would soon run out of things to say on the next blog I visited, so I just left this to prove I stopped and said a few words and I am not just a lurker or visitor but also a commenter.

That's a fabulous setting - looking forward to seeing the rest of the shots
