Réclame du jour

Eglise St Pierre
Last Saturday afternoon, a very formal wedding at Saint Pierre church , whose facade I featured here. The bride arrives at the church with her father. I find rather moving to find the same smile and profile in both, don't you?
The fun part is the "Réclame du jour" sign from the restaurant in the background - it means 'today's special'. Are today's brides on special? ;-)

Double female portrait, one in white one in black, one facing us one in profile, one smiling the other not. This photo is dedicated to Richard of Zurich Daily Photo, my master in b&w.

An interesting take(as usual) on "B+W". A black and white photo of black and white. And NB you are making me blush...

Those profiles really are identical aren't they? He looks so proud and so he should. adore the second photograph too - that hat - or is it simply a swathe of fabric worn with such elegance? Beautiful.

I linked to this post today, Nathalie, from the wedding series on Menton - and thanks so much for your comments - always much appreciated.

So glad Sally and family arrived safely. Lucky them to be with you. Lucky you to be with them.

I love both of these Nathalie. I was going to say that I like the second one best but I really can't choose, they are both beautiful.

I'm moved to tears by these two portraits, Nathalie. Truly fab. Truly art. Thank you.

Terrific range and tones in your B&W processing, and appropriate sign -- we all need to remember daily that 'Today is Special'

Excellent portraits both. I would have said the first was better, but then I saw the second differently. So, both great.

I like the idea of a tight crop on the faces, Ham. The only thing wrong with it in my view is losing the hat and hairdo which are I believe quite essential elements of the wedding setting.
