Onlookers

Wonderful faces from the public at the Fête de la Musique. Take the time to study them all, aren't they fascinating and full of life?

Note: being Blog of Note yesterday has been an amazing experience. Can you imagine what it was like to see my stat counter go bust and record an amazing 4500 visitors in 24 hours when my usual daily average is more like 250? I would like to thank all of you who dropped by yesterday and even more those who chose to come back again today. It gives me a sense of gratitude but also of responsibility. Your time is valuable. If you are kind enough to devote some of it to visiting my blog I owe you to make it as entertaining and interesting as I can. I will do my best.

Lovely faces. I especially like the little boy in the beige sweater--very pensive, and older than his years.

Bravo :o)

Fabulous portraits, Nathalie. Love the concentration and how they are enthralled by the music. That first photo is a stunner.

And many many congratulations on being named a Blogger Blog of Note. Well deserved indeed!

The reason why I deleted two posts above was that they were written in Arabic. Not being able to understand them, I had no way of knowing whether they were messages of praise, hatred or SPAM. I'm sorry but I need to keep control over what is said here.

Babzy, I have a note at the top of my blog saying that I'm ready to remove any photo from my blog if people ask me to.

As there are already 58 commnents on yesterday's post, guess I'll slip in here before it gets up to 999 today... so... MAJOR CONGRATULATIONS ! You must be on a cloud... jeez, like an idiot I was at work, and then dead tired last night at home, so I didn't post the aussie tractors yet, hopefully tonight, and worse, I did't get around to Av in Phot as I usually do... so I'm just figuring out now how NOTEworthy you are... that's wonderful, and no doubt will be bringing lots of wonderful new visitors. Well, that is real recognition, and you certainly deserve it !!! There are few blogs I've been enjoying as much as yours day in and day out... but shucks, we knew you were noteworthy already !!!

You know, for some reason that image of an incontinent stray dog that goes about marking his territory has stuck with me, I thank you for that... and all your thoughtful and wickedly funny comments, I thank you for those too... so... here's a virtual bottle of champagne for you !!! Cheers ! Prost ! Santé ! Bonheur !!!
