Big as in BIG FUN

Each first day of the month is Theme day for City Daily Photo bloggers. This September 1st, the theme is BIG. I decided that for us BIG would be the BIG FUN we had taking these pictures at night. Oh how I love those balmy summer nights !

It all started with my daughter and a friend asking me to take pictures of their midnight swim. I settled on the top floor balcony for a good view over the swimming pool. When I realised how good the first photos were, I suggested they keep posing. Then other relatives joined in and everyone came up with creative ideas! From top to bottom: dance floor, boab tree, human evolution... there were many more. What fun we had! To see what is BIG in other cities, click here.

Bonjour! Nathalie,

Merci, for sharing!...The link (I'am also familiar with Eric's blog site too!) and the photograph of silhouette's against the dark green background. It seems like a pleasant summer night and a good time was had by... all.

Clever - no, brilliant! The second and third are hilarious.

My theme day post is a bit more prosaic but still has a bit of fun.

Yes, very funny staging and interesting result !
And what about the midnight swim ?

Michel Benoit said...

Ah, l'eau... Qui était là pareil ?

Nathalie H.D. said...

Seal Wet, yes there was a midnight swim in the end, and I have the photos to prove it but they are nowhere near as good as these - rather blurry because of the swimming movements. These are good because everyone posed !

The midnight swim was a bit of a challenge actually because there was a bout of cold mistral wind on that night but the kids (age 16) were determined that that night was going to be IT and they never wavered.

Creative and so funny...

And therefore they have caught a cold.

Wonderful interpretation of theme day. On the portal I thought the picture looked like a detail from an ancient greek vase.

Allan

Very clever twist on this month's theme. Such a playful series you captured. I think you should take this show on the road.

Fantastic. In a way it amazes me that young people still gather to have fun in a way that doesn't involve media, although I'm not counting the digital camera here. These are wonderful! A unique interpretation and it really is big fun for us, too!

Ceciel said...

Excellent !

Cergie said...

nathalie in avignon said...

Cergie said...

Nathalie H.D. said...

A spectacular realisation of the theme! Love this.
