Blurred vision

Gordes
What's a good photo? Are blur and distortions allowed? These images are completely natural, no post processing at all. Click on them to enlarge them and you'll see how weird they are. I like them just the way they are. Do you?
And then a quizz: we are here inside a castle located east of Avignon - can you guess in which village? - my clever readers quickly identified the village : it is GORDES.

These are tears traces.

Bravo!!!

Personally, I found them be very fascinating and very intriguing.

Looks like some fogging or moisture on your lens. Fuzziness is good! So is grain....people try to be too perfect nowadays.

I will guess on the first shot that you were shooting through a window with uneven glass.
The second is obviously shot through a window, possibly a dirty one. Am I even close?

Yes, I love the non-special-effects special effects!

That first photo, however it was done, is pure magic. There is a sense of mysterious legend created in the landscape. And the second one seems to symbolise a precious fragment of a view! Love both!

Dimple you're right on spot.
Uneven glass for the first,
dirty window for the second !

Oh yes these are gorgeous and absolutely fine. I was intrigued to know what caused the distortion and now know having read the comments.

Les vitres du chateau étaient-elles sales?
