Winter woods

Scary, spooky, magical, mysterious ? What do these deep woods evoke for you ?
This post is my first participation to Weekend Reflections.

Angoisse, magie, grandeur, mystère, qu'évoquent pour vous ces bois profonds ?
Ce billet est ma participation à Weekend Reflections - des reflets comme s'il en pleuvait.

Something from the Grimm Brothers fables. Not exactly frightening, but ominous.

au printemps tout en rond.

Reflet-le moi !

Well, if the Teddy Bears went down into those particular woods, they would certainly come back very wet and mucky. Gorgeous and atmospheric reflection, Nathalie.

For me, Shakespeare`s Macbeth`s , but where are the three witches? It reminds me the old Polanski`s film
My last post is about Avignon.

nathalie,

this one is lovely
and atmospheric, rather like
a monochrome painting by pissarro

This is not what I would think of when envisioning the South of France.

I loved your photos of Gordes in the fog.

Your image reminds me of a famous Robert Frost poem... I love the monochromatic feel. Why don't you come enter it in my Weekly Top Shot meme? We're on Week #13 and I'd love to see you share with me and my readers! Here's this weeks' link: http://www.theviewfromrighthere.com/blog/?p=5870

Oh Nathalie, this photo looks like a painting. I love it. I get the feeling of mystery and wanting to wander around the next curve in the path to see what lies beyond.

Angoisse...
Ca m'évoque le meurtre de cette jeune fille dans ce lycée lorsque son "copain" de classe l'avait emmenée dans un bois pour l'assassiner...
Pourquoi donc est ce que je pense à ça...

Normally I find a winter landscape depressing but this isn't - the white seems to be life. Can't quite tell what it is but looks like blossom. Realise it can't be tho. Lovely shot.

I want to break this photo into layers - place it upright - make it 3-D then swim through it.

I like it that much
