On stage

When Avignon's Opera ballet dancers meet live jazz music it's a joy not to be missed. The "Jazz & swing melodies" show performed last Saturday 28th January 2012 will be shown again on 26th May in Montfavet. If you're around, make sure you go. It's free - does it get any better than this?

Absolutely "whirling dervishes" !

(There is no copyright on two of the three photos...)

The third picture reminds me of a Degas painting...just beautiful with those soft lines and warm tones Nathalie.

Very artful images - shows what photography can be.

Obviously I wan not the only one thinking of the whirling dervishes! Was it intentional?

Nathalie said...

No Peter, I don't think so, or only marginally. The costumes were a bit similar, especially with the hats they had, but they were all girls, not men, and their dancing only occasionally involved swirling.
