Sealed lips

Villeneuve lès AvignonWe've had tormented skies over the past couple of days but I don't think I'd ever seen an isolated cloud cut in two like that before. Lips sealed by the slash of an arrow? Are you the kind of person who always sees animals and fairy tale characters in fast moving clouds?
But don't let the sky trick you into not looking below. In the distance on the right is Mount Ventoux, Provence highest mountain at 6295 feet. In front of us the fertile plains of the Rhone and on the left, Fort Saint Andre, Villeneuve lès Avignon's medieval castle. Who said fairy tale?

A most excellent capture of an unusual cloud formation. While it was good to see, I also enjoyed the rest on offer in your pic.

Magritte, Man Ray and the sky over Avignon. A winning combination.

It looks like a heart with an arrow through it. A broken heart!

What beautiful pictures. Can I admit that I'm jealous of you living in the Avignon region?
Thanks for coming by my blog, too.

Incredible this cloud! Une vraie trouvaille! Bravo!

... but I'm still continuing my campaign to get rid of the miles, feet, inches, Fahrenheit and the rest! Even in English you shoule express yourself in METERS!! :-)

What I love about Provence, it makes me think I am in a fairy tale.

That's one of the most charming skies I've ever seen. I'm glad you directed our eyes downward, too. A dream sealed with a kiss! One of the best Skywatch images ever!
