Cave des Pas Sages

Avignon, rue des teinturiers
Cave des Pas Sages in rue des Teinturiers is a wine bar & restaurant also reknown for its live music.
While much of rue des Teinturiers only comes alive during the theatre festival in July, this place remains open throughout the winter with regular weekend gigs. A regular sight even when it's cold is a band playing inside, live music pouring through the open doors and patrons spilling into the street and standing glass in hand, engaged in lively conversations. On this September evening the night is balmy and the blackboard announces "Concerts at La Cave des Pas Sages: This week 17 September - Tree of Life Standards, Coltrane, Bill Evans etc. Service at the Bar. Click here to access Cave des Pas Sages's facebook page.

Super photo. Ambiance. Belle nuit d'été. Le nom est génial: "La Cave des Pas Sages." - -Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

Yes Veronique, the beauty of the name is that it is a double entendre:
Pas sage means unwise but you could also say it in one word : passage.

I remmebr this street well!
You asked about Ben: like many boys he doesn't REALLY know what he wants to do. His interest has been piqued in marine science - he did Marine Studies at school. He doesn't have the right subjects to get into a course straight from school, so he is looking for work after his exams (cafe, kitchen hand etc) and is going to go to TAFE to do Biology and Maths - that's his plan for now, anyway! First it's HSC exams in Oct / Nov though. I think it's a better plan than heading straight to uni, for him anyway. There are so many more pathways now for young people it's great - not being locked into one thing straight after school can be a great road to maturity. Sally

You have shown some images recently in which you accept the blurring of the action. This is another good one, Nathalie.

So good when the life of a city continues to be vibrant outside of festival time. We have our own summer festival here in Edinburgh, as you probably know, and it's only in the last few years that things have continued to be at all lively after the festival has finished.
